Best of 2016...

There are many brands and styles of ceramic knives on the market today. We looked at the top knife from several manufacturers including the Keo Sarah Revolution 7-inch chef knife, Ozeri Elite Chef Black Ceramic Set, Cook Concept NC-00299, and the Wilson Cutlery Elite.
The Kyocera 7-inch chef knife is one of the longest knives offered by Kyocera. This was my second favorite ceramic knife although they are the most widely known ceramic knife manufacturer. This knife is a great choice as well as the other 7-inch ceramic knives in this list, for performing various tasks that may include dicing, filleting, and fine chopping. All of the knives on this list are excellent at producing paper thin slices of vegetables and fruits.
The Kyocera is also equipped with an ergonomic handle and is a lightweight ceramic knife. This is great for repetitive cutting and helps with reducing fatigue of the wrists and hand. Additionally, all the knives on this list are practically impervious to oils salts juices acids and other elements. Due to the fact they are ceramic none of these knives will ever rust.
Another great choice would be the Ozeri Elite Chef Black Ceramic Set. This that includes three ultra-sharp ceramic knives which are great for helping you chop, mince, dice, also here fruits and vegetables along with slicing boneless meat effortlessly.
However, my favorite knife has to be the Wilson cutlery elite Pro black series. This knife almost has perfect balance in a great ergonomic handle made of ABS material. This not only makes the handle much more durable than the previous mentioned knives, but also leaves it with a more rubber like grip in your hand. This knife felt more natural in my hand than the other knives reviewed. Not to mention this knife comes with the lifetime warranty as is the same with the Kyocera. Unlike the Kyocera, the Wilson cutlery Pro series 8-inch ceramic chef knife can be bought for under $50. This makes it a bargain by far for the supreme quality that you get with this knife.
The Pro elite series blade has a patent pending diamond cut design. This allows the Pro elite series blade to remain sharp for up to 15 times longer than a steel blade. Further, it is the sharpness ceramic blade on the market, and easily slice through fruits and vegetables with no pulling. This knife is by far my first choice for best knife of 2016. This is by far the best ceramic knife on the market with the and impeccable price point of under $50. Further, this knife comes with lifetime sharpening, and warranty.
Recently, wilsoncutlery.com has been making changes to their site and has informed us they will be back online by September 30, 2016 with a new website. I was informed by operations manager and CEO John Rowe, that they are undergoing major changes to their production line and that these changes and down time will allow them better meet the raising demand for their knives. They have undergone major refitting of equipment to bring in more of their patented sintering process kiln’s.
Let’s hope that doesn’t last long as I can see why these knives are on such high back order right now. This is possibly the best knife I have ever had let alone ceramic knife!
Unlike metal knives, these knives do not corrode, rust or leach metal ions and weigh less than half of an equivalent metal knife. Made of the purest Zirconium, the blades of these knives on this list preserve its razor sharpness nearly ten times longer when compared to steel blades. Finished with a black reflective veneer, these knife set is a necessity for any serious chef.
The Wilson Cutlery Four knife set pro series is what I highly recommend to those who normally use metal knives but like a couple of really sharp ceramic knives. This set includes paring knife and a Santoku knife, both with black blades.
While the Santoku, a Japanese style utility knife, can be used to perform tasks such as fine chopping, cutting, dicing and paper thin slicing, the 3- inch paring knife is great for cutting, peeling and carving. Packed in an elegant black presentation box, this ceramic knife set is not only perfect choice for your kitchen, but also serves as a great gift.
Another great set of ceramic knives would be the Wilson Cutlery Family Series. This 3-piece ceramic knife set contains a Santoku knife and two paring knives of different sizes. Equipped with extremely sharp blades, the knives are packed individually in a protection plastic sheath to avoid injury. The knives are an excellent for those looking to slice, chop or dice like a professional.
Last the Cook Concept NC-00299 , is a good cheap knife that would get 3 out of 5 stars. If you want a great knife, then chose one of the ones mentioned earlier like the Wilson or Kyocera. However, if you just want a knife then the Cook Concept is a decent ceramic knife.
So what are you waiting for? Buy ceramic knives and make your cooking experience a more enjoyable and pleasurable one.
